ADAPTIVE/SUP/SURFDM 2025

n September 2025, I had the honor of photographing the German Surf Championships (Surf DM 2025) in Seignosse, France. This year’s event featured not only the classic shortboard and longboard divisions but also the SUP (Stand Up Paddling) competitions and the inspiring Adaptive Surf Championships – a true highlight of the German surf scene.
As the official photographer on site, I captured the intense heats, emotional award ceremonies, and the unique atmosphere at the beach in Seignosse. My focus was not only on athletic performances but also on the stories behind the athletes – from up-and-coming talents to experienced surfers who embody the spirit of surfing in Germany.
The Adaptive Surf Contest was particularly powerful to witness: athletes with diverse physical abilities riding waves with passion and determination, showcasing the inclusivity and strength of surfing.
It was an absolute privilege to document this event and to create images that reflect the passion, energy, and diversity of surfing in Germany.
